We are incredibly proud of our children’s achievements, and saying goodbye to our Year 6 pupils is always a bittersweet time. By the time they leave us, they are confident, curious and ready for the next chapter, and we take great care to make sure that chapter is the right one for each child.

FINDING THE RIGHT SENIOR SCHOOL

Choosing a senior school is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and no two children are the same. Our children move on to a wide range of independent and state senior schools across London, as well as boarding schools outside London, and we are dedicated to helping every family find the school where their child will flourish.

Because we are a small, family-owned school, we know each child well: their strengths, their interests and the kind of environment in which they do their best learning. That knowledge shapes the guidance we give, so that families feel supported and well informed at every stage, from the first conversations about options through to applications and offers.

PREPARING FOR 11+

Preparation for the 11+ is woven into our Prep curriculum rather than bolted on at the end. Children build strong foundations in English and Maths, develop reasoning skills and grow the confidence to tackle assessments and interviews calmly. Children are supported by a dedicated Head of 11+, with 25 years’ experience at the school, to ensure every child has a multitude of offers from schools that are right for them. Just as importantly, our pastoral care means they approach this stage feeling settled and supported, not pressured.

SCHOLARSHIP SUCCESS

On average, 60% of our children achieve a scholarship in their 11+ exams, across a wide range of subjects including Academic, Art, Drama, DT, Music and Sport. These results reflect not only hard work, but the breadth of opportunity our children enjoy throughout their time at The White House, both in and beyond the classroom.

WHERE OUR CHILDREN GO

Our leavers have recently received offers from schools including Alleyn’s, Benenden, Brighton College, City of London Girls, Dulwich College, Emanuel, JAGS, Westminster, Wimbledon High, St Paul’s Boys and Tonbridge, among many others.
