School Day

Every day is exciting and different at The White House Prep. Children may be heading out on a school trip to the Houses of Parliament, playing in a sports fixture or enjoying an expert architecture workshop in our school hall. Alongside all of this, a calm and consistent daily rhythm helps children feel settled, so they can make the most of every opportunity.

A TYPICAL DAY

8:00am
Option to join Early Bird Club.
8:30am to 9:00am
Doors open for drop off. Children settle into their learning with tailored activities such as Morning Maths or Handwriting.
9:00am
Lessons start.
10:30am to 11:00am
Mid-morning break, with a snack provided by the school.
11:00am to 12:30pm
Lessons.
12:30pm to 1:30pm
Lunch and playtime.
1:30pm to 4:00pm
Lessons.
4:00pm
Collection.
4:00pm to 4:30pm
Option to join clubs.
4:30pm to 6:00pm
Option to join Miss Nat’s After School Care, including tea.
6:00pm
Last collection.

SETTLING IN TO LEARN

The start of the day matters. Our staggered drop off gives children time to arrive calmly, greet their friends and ease into learning with short, focused activities. It is a small thing that makes a real difference to how ready they feel when lessons begin.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

After lessons, children can join a wide range of clubs. All of our clubs are included in the fees, except for Karate and Drama, which are led by specialists in these fields. Clubs are a wonderful chance for children to try something new, build on an interest or simply spend time with friends from other year groups.

SUPPORT FOR WORKING FAMILIES

We know that family life is busy. With Early Bird Club from 8:00am and Miss Nat’s After School Care running until 6:00pm, our wraparound care gives parents real flexibility, while children enjoy a relaxed, caring environment at the beginning and end of their day.
